Beneficiation & Chemical Conversion
1. Mining & Leaching
Raw sulfide and laterite ores are crushed and milled to fine liberation. Advanced froth flotation and pressure acid leaching (PAL) circuits are deployed to dissolve cobalt into solution, separating it effectively from copper, nickel, and iron gangue.
2. Chemical Conversion Reactions
Our concentrates drive the fundamental chemical conversion processes required by global alloy and battery producers:
- Acid Leaching: CoO + H2SO4 → CoSO4 + H2O
- Hydroxide Formation: CoSO4 + 2NaOH → Co(OH)2 + Na2SO4
- Metal Reduction: Co2+ + 2e− → Co
Powering the EV Revolution.
From the extraction of laterite ores to the delivery of battery-grade cobalt chemicals in China, South Korea, and Japan, SINCHI WAYRA SA provides an unbroken, high-purity supply chain for the world’s most critical energy technology.
